Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes learning and development
  • Communicate daily with families regarding student progress, needs, and achievements to encourage partnership and support
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, activities, and experiences that cater to the unique needs and interests of each child
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, child portfolios, USDA documentation, and other records required by local agencies
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement
  • Utilize our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children, ensuring a high-quality standard of care and adherence to all minimum licensing, quality rated, and/or accreditation guidelines and company standards

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a genuine warmth and understanding of the needs of young children and their families. You should have a positive attitude and self-image, with a commitment to innovation and creativity. Strong communication skills with coworkers, parents, and children are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and you must be willing to obtain certification if you do not already possess it. Additionally, you must pass the state-required criminal background check and meet all state certifications and requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of teaching experience or certification in early childhood education
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles, theories, and practices
  • Experience with science-based, proprietary curriculum and supplement activities
  • Ability to speak multiple languages (desired but not required)
  • First aid and CPR certification (desired but not required)
