About the Role

As a Loss Prevention Service Specialist, you'll play a critical role in promoting a safe and secure shopping environment for our customers and associates. You'll be the face of our loss prevention efforts, working closely with store teams, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to prevent theft, minimize exposure to loss, and drive a positive customer experience. Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service and Engagement: Greet customers, respond to their needs, and provide a positive shopping experience, promoting a neat and clean store appearance at the entrance and throughout the store.
• Loss Prevention and Deterrence: Conduct associate package checks, building and physical security inspections to minimize exposure to loss, and support CCTV surveillance with other Loss Prevention associates as necessary.
• Partnerships and Collaboration: Build partnerships with store associates, management, and law enforcement to drive loss prevention efforts and promote a safe environment.
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and incidents, providing a safe and secure environment for customers and associates.
• Additional Tasks: Perform other tasks as assigned by management, including supporting store initiatives and participating in training programs.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers, associates, and management effectively.
• High Ethical Standards: A strong commitment to adhering to Kohl's policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding the highest standards of integrity.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with store teams, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to drive loss prevention efforts.
• Basic Math and Reading Skills: Basic math and reading skills, with the ability to operate handheld scanners, multiple frequency devices, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift (at least 8 hours), climb, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, reach, lift, grasp, push, and pull on a frequent basis.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

While not required, the following experience and qualifications are highly preferred:

• Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer service environment, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional service.
• Retail Loss Prevention, Security, or Law Enforcement Experience: Prior experience in retail loss prevention, security, or law enforcement, with a deep understanding of loss prevention principles and practices.
