Job Summary
We're seeking a skilled Freelance 2D Background Artist to join our team on a freelance basis. As a Background Artist, you'll be responsible for creating stunning environments and background props for our animation and gaming channels. You'll work closely with our team to ensure that your designs align with our style and aesthetic, and that you meet our high standards for quality and consistency.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a Freelance 2D Background Artist, your responsibilities will include:
- Creating high-quality 2D backgrounds and props for our animation and gaming channels
- Illustrating environments and background props that are consistent with our style and aesthetic
- Working efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines and daily quotas
- Collaborating with our team to ensure that your designs align with our vision and goals
- Adapting to a variety of workflows and maintaining established style formats per channel
- Communicating effectively with our team and stakeholders to ensure that your work meets our high standards
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Procreate
- Experience using Toon Boom is a plus, but not required
- Strong understanding of composition, perspective, color theory, light, and form
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
- Great listening skills and time management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
