Data Analyst
Description Summary/Objective: The Guardian Connect Data Analyst will leverage technology and data to solve real and tangible business problems. Utilize the Guardian Connect platform, an IoT remote service delivery platform, underlying databases and connected systems to provide advanced analytics and support for internal and external customers. This remote team member will be a self-starter, dependable and make a significant difference on a small but effective team that leads the industry.

Key Results Expected: Act on issues, tasks and data quickly and accurately. Deliver reports, dashboards and analytics that have been reviewed and verified prior to distribution. Communicate effectively with a high-performing and results oriented team Essential Job Functions: Engage and learn the Guardian Connect platform operations, data storage/transmission and key partners. Build and manage ways to collect, clean, and store data from different sources and in different formats. Cleaning and organizing data so that it is accurate and ready to use, correcting errors as needed to ensure data quality. Build systems to store and process data that can scale quickly. Analyzing Data in real time to spot trends, patterns or unusual exceptions quickly. Build easy to understand reports and dashboards teammates, leaders, and customers with tools like Power BI. Working with different teams to build reports, analytics and reports they need. Support the Guardian Connect operations team. Documenting how data flows and is stored so others can understand and use to data. Write clear instructions and notes about your work with data. Automating tasks where possible. Keeping data secure and following privacy rules and policies of the business. Continue to learn about new tools, platforms and rules to improve the core systems and processes of the business.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field of study with a focus on data analysis, or completion of a computer science bootcamp in one of these disciplines with verifiable and demonstrated experience. Minimum 3 years of experience

Competencies: Mastery of Excel and Smartsheet software for data analysis Experience with Python, SQL Databases, AWS, Azure and Power BI are essential Exposure to Kinesis and Kafka API's IoT connectivity in an industrial setting. Petroleum equipment experience is a plus. Machine learning basics Predictive analytics Physical Demands: This position operates in an office environment and requires the use of the computer, email, phone, and copier/printer. This is a primarily sedentary role. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Travel: Minimal travel is anticipated for this position but may be required on an as needed basis.
